Tommy Yang
Living in Delta, BC and as a current university student, I felt compelled to take action to enhance my community's diversity and inclusion. I've initiated projects promoting intercultural understanding, organized events celebrating diverse heritage, and mentored local youth from underrepresented groups. Through these efforts, I aim to foster a more welcoming and equitable environment, empowering individuals to thrive and contribute their unique perspectives!
Hand in Hand
Hand in hand is a project designed to increase accessibility for individuals with difficulties with daily tasks, such as getting groceries or moving around. In doing so, this project aims to also demonstrate different cultural perspectives and foster community building. This project also aims to provide families with children with equitable tutoring and education resources for those in need.
