The Canadian Network for Accessibility in Healthcare
The Canadian Network for Accessibility in Healthcare (CAN-ACCESS) is a national initiative designed to enhance accessibility and equity in healthcare services for individuals with disabilities. The organization empowers healthcare facilities and community organizations to identify and address barriers, fostering the creation of more inclusive environments through audits, grants, workshops, and community collaboration.

When it comes to community impact projects, the UN has created 17 Sustainable Development Goals. These are the Sustainable Development Goals associated with my project.
How the project works
CAN-ACCESS conducts accessibility audits, delivers workshops, and provides grants to healthcare facilities across Canada. Since 2024, the initiative has funded 12 projects, supported over 30 healthcare organizations, and developed national resources and training to promote equity for individuals with disabilities in healthcare.
Project Impact
CAN-ACCESS has improved physical accessibility at healthcare sites, empowered healthcare providers through training, and increased awareness of accessibility standards.

CAN-ACCESS aims to create inclusive, accessible healthcare environments by removing barriers for people with disabilities.
