Shatabdy is a public health researcher and environmental enthusiast who is passionate about empowering environmental action through education and actionable resources. Outside of environmental advocacy, she enjoys crocheting, reading, and drinking lots and lots of tea.
Learning For Our Future Environment
Learning For Our Future connects environmental enthusiasts and activists to educational resources and communities so that we can all do our part to take care of the planet and each other. Many of us may not know how to incorporate our skills, knowledge and interests toward climate action. With Learning For Our Future, participants will find that no matter who they are, there is a space for them to share their knowledge and skills to take action.

How the project works
Learning For Our Future offers an online space for people to share their knowledge, skills and interests and leverage them to take climate action in our daily lives. In November 2023, a 3-day Learning Festival took place at the University of Toronto's Dalla Lana School for Public Health.
Project Impact
Learning For Our Future hosted a Learning Festival that offered a place for people to learn about climate anxiety and what we can do about it. Over the course of 3 days, 10 youth participated in sessions, engaged in meaningful conversations about climate emotions, defined their goals and planned their actions.
Project Mission
Learning For Our Future’s mission is to empower everyone to incorporate climate actions into their daily lives and spaces. Through knowledge and skills sharing, everyone can learn to take part in making better and greener futures.
