About this Project
Communities Served
My project will involve and/or impact the following communities:
United Nations Sustainable Development Goals
When it comes to community impact projects, the UN has created 17 Sustainable Development Goals. These are the Sustainable Development Goals associated with my project.
How the project works
The project activities are apart of a larger retreat which includes mental health workshops, yoga/mindfulness and recreational activities. There will also be chances where there will be smaller activities to just relax and unwind with those who are dealing with the same life milestones. My project timeline is to start with outreach at the end of August and early September to gauge when everyone that wants to be a participant is able to come to the retreat based on several dates proposed.
Project Impact
I hope to have achieve at least 80% positive feedback (rated "satisfied" or above) in the post-event survey. At least 16 young adults attend the full-day workshops at the retreat. Secure one local organizational partner and one licensed mental health professional to co-facilitate or contribute to the workshop. Also have the event successfully launched within 3 months of the goal start date.
Project Mission
My mission is to create a safe, inclusive, and accessible retreat space where young adults can find support, connection, and personal growth through understanding, wellness, and discovery.
Project Team
My project team so far is made up of myself (Saherla). I am recruiting volunteers as well to help support me along the way.
