Ruthie Zhuang
Ruthie Zhuang is a medical student passionate about creating meaningful connections between youth and seniors. She is currently planning to lead the Magic of Christmas concert, a project in collaboration with Students For Music and Wellness (SFMW). Her goal is to combat social isolation and improve mental health for seniors in long-term care homes. I believe music has the power to bring people together, and through this project, I want to give both youth and seniors a shared experience that fosters understanding and joy.
La magie de Noël : Concert de Noël intergénérationnel pour les soins de longue durée
Ruthie Zhuang is preparing to lead the Magic of Christmas concert, a volunteer-driven virtual holiday concert organized through Students For Music and Wellness. The project aims to bring festive music to seniors in long-term care homes across Canada, the U.S., and the UK. By delivering a live-streamed concert, Ruthie hopes to reduce social isolation, especially during the holiday season. Her goal is to create an uplifting experience that not only entertains but also strengthens the connection between youth and seniors.
