My project will involve and/or impact the following communities:
United Nations Sustainable Development Goals
When it comes to community impact projects, the UN has created 17 Sustainable Development Goals. These are the Sustainable Development Goals associated with my project.
How the project works
Muslim women living in the area who have registered to attend the event will arrive to a reserved space to come together. Discussions will take place among the group, an engaging session with a guest speaker along with workshops will take place and lunch will be served. The success and insight from those who attend the event will determine a potential of future continuation events for the community.

Acknowledge the presence of those who identify as Muslim in the Beaches and empower Muslim women to thrive in their everyday lives.

Work towards filling the gap of the existence of a safe space for Muslim women in the Beaches Toronto to practice their religion and meet others like them
Project Team
A family living walking distance from the Beaches and who often find themselves in the community in their everyday lives who want to take first steps towards eliminating stigma and absence of difference in the community
