Rachel Dong
Rachel Dong is a third year Integrated Sciences student at UBC. She is passionate about climate justice and has received several awards for her food security initiatives. At school, she serves on student government, mentors younger students, and works as a research assistant. Rachel also coaches skate and swim lessons for children with disabilities.
Food 4 Thought
Food 4 Thought aims to support food security by creating accessible and healthy food options for UBC students. This will be achieved through a Community Meal program and Community Pantry which will be accessible for students in need.

When it comes to community impact projects, the UN has created 17 Sustainable Development Goals. These are the Sustainable Development Goals associated with my project.
How the project works
Community Eats Program: serve fresh-cooked meals to UBC students twice a term. Community Pantry: offer a variety of non-perishable and perishable food items free for UBC students to access. Students are encouraged to take what they need and donate when they can.

Supporting 2000+ students facing food insecurity. Creating leadership opportunities for 40+ team members.
