Olivia Lipton

Olivia Lipton is an emerging social worker with a strong background in mental health, substance use, youth services, and nonprofit leadership. She has completed her Bachelor of Social Work and is a Master of Social Work student at Dalhousie University. Olivia has worked extensively in community-based settings, including at the Salvus Clinic in Moncton, where she has supported individuals through case management, outreach, housing support, and leadership roles, as well as with YWCA Moncton and the New Brunswick Child and Youth Advocate Office. She is the founder of Wellness on Wheels, a rural community wellness initiative designed to increase access to mental health resources through publicly accessible wellness boxes, youth leadership, and community partnerships. Grounded in practice, Olivia is passionate about meeting people where they are and creating innovative, community-driven approaches that reduce barriers and strengthen systems of care.

Wellness on Wheels

Wellness on Wheels is a rural community wellness initiative designed to increase access to mental health supports in underserved areas. The project installs publicly accessible wellness boxes in familiar community spaces, stocked with free mental health resources, coping tools, and wellness items. Through youth leadership, community partnerships, and pop-up engagement events, Wellness on Wheels reduces barriers to care and helps make mental health support visible, accessible, and community-driven.

About this Project

My project will involve and/or impact the following communities:

    United Nations Sustainable Development Goals

When it comes to community impact projects, the UN has created 17 Sustainable Development Goals. These are the Sustainable Development Goals associated with my project.

      How the project works

Wellness on Wheels will continue installing community wellness boxes in rural areas in Canada. Activities include stocking boxes with mental health resources, engaging youth ambassadors, hosting pop-up outreach events, and community partnerships to increase visibility and access to care. Some upcoming events include: "Girls Night" in February, "Watercolour Painting" in May, and a Youth Ambassador Training Session.

      Project Impact

Wellness on Wheels increases access to mental health supports in rural communities by making resources visible, free, and locally relevant. The project reduces stigma, strengthens community connection, and empowers youth leadership while addressing gaps in service access. By meeting people where they are, it supports early intervention and promotes wellbeing in underserved areas.
