Nanika Easy
As an indigenous artist who is a veterinarian and doula in training, Nanika is a strong community leader with a cultural understanding of how art can transform the trauma impact of intersectional oppressive perspectives of colonial history, even the micro and macro issues of everyday life.
Triumph over Trauma
They will be sent art supplies and as well as a complimentary LUSH supply kit. Once they have been all sent a kit, there will be a virtual session that will talk about what factors of trauma we need to overcome. This will be a confidential place to speak our minds, everything you say will be within your own comfort and boundaries.
About this Project
Communities Served
My project will involve and/or impact the following communities:
United Nations Sustainable Development Goals
When it comes to community impact projects, the UN has created 17 Sustainable Development Goals. These are the Sustainable Development Goals associated with my project.
How the project works
The activities will involve a live discussion and a Q&A. there will also be a live paint session.
Project Impact
Our impact will be empowering the people, those who identify or don't identify as indigenous people. My hope is that the benefits of wellness and perseverance will be seen as a community or individually. Another wish is to improve my own creative skills and to continue to do more projects that fit to other's likings as well.
Project Mission
To help people experiencing mental health barriers practice art healing.
Project Team
We are a team of 3 and my team is very knowledgeable of indigenous knowledge and trauma practice
