Lanna Fri Check

My name is Lanna and I am 18 years old. I've always loved drawing and creating, but it wasn't until my early teens that I realized I could make it part of my career. From middle school till now I have always enjoyed helping youth with their creative endeavours by being part of programs that encourage youth to be proactive. My goal has always been to inspire youth the way I was inspired to follow my art passions and to show them that they can be a leader too.

Path To Mastery

Path To Mastery is a game in which the player's objective is to enhance their art skills to pursue their artistic passions. Through this game, I want immigrant youth to see that their passions can be achieved and that they can also practice their art passions, build their skills and take pride in their work while also inspiring youth in their community to do the same.

About this Project

Communities Served

My project will involve and/or impact the following communities:

    United Nations Sustainable Development Goals

When it comes to community impact projects, the UN has created 17 Sustainable Development Goals. These are the Sustainable Development Goals associated with my project.

      How the project works

My project involves youth from various organizations, primarily Jeunes et Racines, playtesting my game and providing feedback. The first playtest is scheduled for early September, with the final one in October. After the final test, the game will be released, and I'll continue promoting it on social media while gathering more feedback.

      Project Impact

More youth will be able to practice their art passions, build their skills and take pride in their work. They can also inspire their friends and their community to take this path and build a community where immigrant youth aren’t scared or confused on how to start building their art skills.

      Project Mission

I plan to create a game where youth practice being passionate artists. Different systems are present in the game; a reward system will encourage consistency, while a system showing the consequences of inaction will emphasize dedication. Through these systems, the game will help youth learn the value of daily effort.

      Project Team
