I'm Keyanna and I'm the Project Coordinator for Pause Just Talk. I'm committed to creating safe spaces where BIPOC youth are prioritized in their mental health and overall well-being. By supporting others with tools to channel their creativity, care for their bodies, and express their inner dialogue, I help empower my community. My goal is to create meaningful social impact by transforming how we feel from within.
Pause Just Talk
Pause Just Talk is a community centred initiative dedicated to creating safe, supportive spaces for BIPOC youth to prioritize their mental health and well-being. Through open dialogue, creative expression, and holistic practices, Pause Just Talk empowers young people to reconnect with themselves, share their stories, and heal collectively.

How the project works
Pause Just Talk hosts a workshop every season geared to encourage a change in pace. Realigning your focus inward is important amidst the chaos that everyday life brings. With varying activities like paint therapy, sound baths, floral arrangement building, yoga and reiki practices, etc, Pause Just Talk events are curated to fit the interest of everyone.
Project Impact
Through programming Pause Just Talk give participants tools to better understand their emotions, prioritize self-care, feel seen, heard, and supported within their community.

Pause Just Talk's mission is to create safe, inclusive spaces where BIPOC youth can prioritize their mental health, express themselves freely, and build community through conversation, creativity, and holistic care.
Project Team
Pause Just Talk consists of one project coordinator. With every workshop we pair with Toronto-based professionals in the wellness space to execute each workshop. Our team varies on a case by case basis!
