To promote Indigenous cultural awareness and understanding among Continuing Care Assistant students through meaningful learning experiences that foster respect, reflection, and culturally safe care practices.

When it comes to community impact projects, the UN has created 17 Sustainable Development Goals. These are the Sustainable Development Goals associated with my project.
How the project works
This project will host two Indigenous Cultural Awareness Day events for Continuing Care Assistant students. Each event will include teachings from an Elder, cultural discussions, and a hands-on beading activity to promote cultural awareness and culturally safe care practices.
Project Impact
This project will prepare future healthcare providers to deliver culturally competent and respectful care to Indigenous clients. Through increased awareness and confidence, students will be better equipped to practice culturally safe and inclusive care in their professional roles.
