Gode Katembo
I am a young community leader driven by a passion to empower youth and create inclusive opportunities through sport, education, and mentorship. I have led initiatives that use sport as a tool for social change, helping young people build confidence, discipline, and a sense of belonging. My work focuses on breaking barriers whether economic, cultural, or systemic so that every child has access to opportunities to grow and succeed. I believe leadership is about service, impact, and lifting others, and I am committed to building communities where young people can discover their purpose and reach their full potential.
EmpowerMen
The EmpowerMen Project is a community-based initiative designed to support boys and young men in developing strong character, positive identity, and life skills through mentorship, sport, and leadership development. The project creates safe and structured spaces where participants can openly engage in conversations around mental health, masculinity, purpose, and personal growth.

How the project works
EmpowerMen delivers a 2-week workshop followed by a 2-day retreat for boys and young men. The program sessions focused on mental health, positive masculinity, creating a safe space for personal growth, connection, and confidence building.

The EmpowerMen Project will equip boys and young men with essential life skills, confidence, and a stronger sense of identity through mentorship, sport, and leadership development.
