Felix Townsin

Felix Townsin is a Grade 10 student and founder of A Million Acts of Love, a global movement created in memory of his sister, Lexi. His advocacy began at age five, raising funds for rare disease research through a book he wrote, which has helped raise nearly $100,000. Since then, he has created a short film, spoken at international medical conferences, and used storytelling to advocate for better care and awareness. Today, he focuses on empowering young people to take action in their communities and show that small actions can lead to meaningful change.

A Million Acts of Love Changemaker Program

The A Million Acts of Love Changemaker Program supports youth to turn ideas into real-world projects that make a difference in their communities. Through mentorship, guidance and hands-on action, participants build leadership skills while contributing meaningful service hours. The program focuses on removing barriers to participation and helping youth take ownership of causes they care about, creating lasting impact through collective action.

About this Project

Communities Served

My project will involve and/or impact the following communities:

    United Nations Sustainable Development Goals

When it comes to community impact projects, the UN has created 17 Sustainable Development Goals. These are the Sustainable Development Goals associated with my project.

      How the project works

Over five months, youth complete a flexible 120-hour leadership journey, turning their interests into real-world impact through projects, volunteering, and community action. With mentorship participants build skills, gain recognition and create a portfolio that supports that they can use for scholarships, school and job opportunities while making a positive impact in the world.

      Project Impact

The program engages 75 youth completing up to 120 service hours each, generating more than 9,000 hours of direct community impact. Youth lead projects, volunteer with local organizations, and address real needs, creating measurable outcomes while building leadership capacity and long-term civic engagement.

      Project Mission

The A Million Acts of Love Changemaker Program is designed to help young people build a sustained habit of community engagement and leadership over time. Its mission is to make civic engagement a normal part of youth culture by removing barriers to participation and helping young people use their interests, skills and passions to make a positive difference and contribute to stronger communities.

      Project Team

I will be working with two youth leaders who will help support our changemakers.
