Emily XinFang Hua Escoffery

Emily Escoffery (She/Her) is from Prince Edward Island and is currently pursuing her Master's in Community Psychology at Wilfrid Laurier University. She has a broad range of experiences in mental health programming, program evaluation and community-based research. Emily continues to explore how communities can collectively design and implement interventions that are grounded in care, sustainability and shared knowledge to create more just and innovative responses to complex social issues.

The Patchwork Project

The Patchwork Project seeks to reimagine sexual health education in collaboration with community. The project involves co-designing a sexual health education online hub alongside local youth who are passionate about more inclusive, accessible and comprehensive sexual health resources in their community. The online hub will offer various media, such as a podcast, infographics and academic articles so that we can bridge both community and academic knowledge surrounding sexual health.

About this Project

Communities Served

My project will involve and/or impact the following communities:

    United Nations Sustainable Development Goals

When it comes to community impact projects, the UN has created 17 Sustainable Development Goals. These are the Sustainable Development Goals associated with my project.

      How the project works

In August 2025, we will host a workshop with local youth who are interested in designing the online hub. Following this, a prototype of the website will be built in collaboration with youth and community partners. Based on collaborative efforts, the resource will be promoted through two social events that will be designed to be both fun and informative.
