I've had interest and a drive for social innovation for years and have been able to pursue it with the help of TakingItGlobal. My goal is to bring awareness to vulnerable communities and help bring support and recognition to those groups through my community.

Making care packages for an indigenous womens shelter. The team will be making hygiene care packages to give to an indigenous woman's shelter located in Edmonton area. The main goal is to support the women and return their individuality and autonomy.

How the project works
As the team lead I will be the one to purchase and gather all the supplies needed for the projects. Once all the supplies are bought, me and my volunteers will put together the packages to be later handed out to the beneficiaries.
Project Impact
My project will bring attention and awareness to the shelter, it will also be a learning process for my team and school community on how they can help give support.

The mission is to give the women their autonomy and individuality through the support of the community and hygiene packages.
