Charlotte Côté
A leader rooted in Canada’s non-profit sector for over ten years, Charlotte has led projects focused on dialogue, peace, and social justice both in Canada and abroad. She has played an active role in several initiatives related to decolonization, mediation, and peacebuilding. Her work is driven by a desire to unpack existing structures and knowledge in order to understand them and make them more just and inclusive. She is the founder of Oser s’en parler, an initiative designed for non-Indigenous people who want to better understand the realities of colonialism in Canada and take concrete steps toward Reconciliation. Through this platform, she highlights Indigenous voices and resources, along with critical and thoughtful reflections aimed at encouraging humble, sustained, and intentional action toward decolonization.
Dare to talk about it
Oser s’en parler is a grassroots initiative that aims to make conversations about colonial discomfort and systemic racism accessible to Francophones and Francophiles on Turtle Island. It takes the form of a podcast series and an online resource bank. The goal is to highlight Indigenous voices and knowledge, and to equip non-Indigenous people with accessible, critical, and thoughtful resources so that everyone can engage in a personal process of healthy unlearning, humble learning, and respectful action.

When it comes to community impact projects, the UN has created 17 Sustainable Development Goals. These are the Sustainable Development Goals associated with my project.
How the project works
The project will include updating the website, which provides educational resources in French, as well as hosting podcast episodes on issues related to (de)colonialism, Reconciliation, and social justice. Awareness campaigns will be carried out on social media to spark engagement and reflection. The goal is to build a learning and sharing community rooted in self-reflection and long-term action, fostering a collective and sustained journey toward decolonization.
