Frontline Immunity Ambassador Program Education
Frontline Immunity's Ambassador Program works to bridge gaps in early vaccine education and engage students to tackle vaccine hesitancy at the grassroots level. The program is a 5-session program led by medical school students and is aimed to equip high school students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to lead conversations about vaccines in their local communities and tackle vaccine hesitancy through peer-to-peer education.

How the project works
Frontline Immunity's Ambassador Program is a 5-session program led by medical school students based on a curriculum developed in collaboration with doctors, public health officials, and educators, where students learn about the science of vaccines and the social factors underlying vaccine hesitancy. The program aimed to equip high school students, named ambassadors, with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to share the information they learned and to lead conversations about vaccines in their local communities in order tackle vaccine hesitancy through peer-to-peer education in culturally-appropriate and sensitive ways.
Project Impact
Frontline Immunity's Ambassador Program continues to be a key tool to help tackle vaccine misinformation and overcome vaccine hesitancy. Introducing vaccine education from a young age is especially important in preventing misinformation about vaccines from crystallizing and compounding over many decades. Unfortunately, the science of vaccines and their importance in society is rarely taught in classrooms in the US and in Canada. This program has helped improve health literacy, especially amongst youth, which in turn will help improve public health outcomes and promote healthier communities. I am most proud of empowering youth to be leaders in their communities to work to increase health literacy in ways that are age-appropriate and culturally-sensitive. This project has reminded me of the immense power of youth in creating change in their communities. The enthusiasm and positivity of the students that I have worked with have inspired me to continue working to increase health literacy at the grassroots level.
Project Mission
To instill a life-long understanding of vaccines and their importance in students, leverage the benefits of peer-to-peer education to tackle vaccine hesitancy, and establish a sustainable and systematic distribution for vaccine information
