Catherine Diyakonov
Catherine Diyakonov is an undergraduate student at the University of Toronto who is passionate about harnessing the intersections of law, finance, science, technology, and politics to fuel innovative solutions to our world’s most pressing issues. Catherine’s passion for overcoming and breaking gender stereotypes first manifested when she founded a youth-led organization at the age of 14. She delivered a TEDx Talk when she was only 15 years old, entitled “Girls Will Stay: Overcoming Gender Stereotypes.” Catherine founded Girls Who Lead in 2024, an international non-profit organization which engages women changemakers, entrepreneurs, and leaders across the globe. She hopes to support young women to chase their dreams and never doubt their ability to make a difference in the world.

We are committed to ensuring all women have the confidence to overcome gender stereotypes and the network to jumpstart their careers as leaders. Our bi-annual Speakers’ Summit is one of our three flagship programs where young women come together to learn from top industry professionals, engage in workshops with like-minded peers, and grow their networks to advance their careers in leadership.
