Carmelle Kanyemba
My name is Icarmelle, and I am an Early Childhood Educator with a deep passion for supporting growth and development in young children. I also have a love for travel, as it allows me to explore new cultures, gain fresh perspectives, and bring inspiration into my everyday life. At home, I enjoy creating a warm and vibrant space, there’s something special about seeing my house come to life. Coming from a big family, I value connection and quality time, especially through activities and shared experiences with my sisters. These moments have shaped my appreciation for community and togetherness. While I may not have formal experience in social impact work yet, my time in Sprout has sparked many ideas and inspired me to think about how I can contribute meaningfully to my community beyond the program. I am excited to continue growing, learning, and finding ways to turn those ideas into action.
Intergenerational Dialogues
Intergenerational Dialogues is a project designed to foster meaningful connections between women across different generations. Through guided conversations and shared activities, participants are given the opportunity to learn about one another’s upbringings, interests, and lived experiences. The project creates space to celebrate the diversity of womanhood, while building understanding, connection, and community across age groups.
About this Project
Communities Served
My project will involve and/or impact the following communities:
United Nations Sustainable Development Goals
When it comes to community impact projects, the UN has created 17 Sustainable Development Goals. These are the Sustainable Development Goals associated with my project.
How the project works
Intergenerational Dialogues runs over 3 weeks, bringing women together through weekly guided sessions. Activities include storytelling circles, facilitated discussions, and shared experiences. Participants explore their backgrounds, exchange perspectives, and build meaningful connections, culminating in a closing reflection session that celebrates learning and diverse expressions of womanhood.
Project Impact
Intergenerational Dialogues will engage 20 participants, fostering deeper understanding of diverse lived experiences across generations. Through guided conversations, participants will build empathy, challenge stereotypes, and strengthen connections. The project reduces social isolation and creates a supportive space where women feel seen, heard, and valued, contributing to a more inclusive and connected community.
Project Mission
Intergenerational Dialogues is an initiative that brings together women from different generations to engage in structured, guided dialogue. The project aims to bridge generational gaps by creating safe and intentional spaces where participants can share their personal histories, cultural backgrounds, and perspectives on womanhood.
Project Team
I will be leading this project by myself and will get some support from volunteers to put the event together
