How the project works

"Stars in My Sky" presents a series of four workshops for Everyday Story writers, scheduled from June to October. These sessions are tailored to assist writers in adapting their pieces for the theatre, incorporating theatre exercises, movement, and focused readings to enrich the creative process. In collaboration with Stop Gap Foundation & TakingITGloblal 'Stars in My Sky' will be presenting a second function on March 17,2024.

Project Impact

The aim of Stars In My Sky is to challenge and dismantle the stigma associated with disability through the transformative mediums of stage performance and storytelling. Adapted from the published book "Everyday Stories," Stars in My Sky is a theater play that delves into the narratives of individuals with disabilities

Project Mission

The mission of Stars In My Sky is to eliminate and expose the stigma around disability through the power of stage and story.

Project Team

The team is made up of my collaborator Erica May and advisor Carrie Have. Later in the project we will bring in a dramaturg and someone who works in the disability community to consult on what we have created.
