About this Project

Communities Served

My project will involve and/or impact the following communities:

    United Nations Sustainable Development Goals

When it comes to community impact projects, the UN has created 17 Sustainable Development Goals. These are the Sustainable Development Goals associated with my project.

      How the project works

The project spans 6 months, hosting awareness events, distributing informational materials, and providing care packages to support individuals with Sjögren’s syndrome through education, empowerment, and community outreach.

      Project Impact

The project increases awareness and understanding of Sjögren’s syndrome, improves access to vital resources, and builds a supportive community. By empowering patients and allies through education and outreach, it enhances quality of life, reduces isolation, and fosters proactive health management for those affected by this chronic illness.

      Project Mission

Our mission is to raise awareness about Sjögren’s syndrome, a lesser-known autoimmune disease, by creating a supportive community and providing practical resources to individuals living with this condition. Our project will offer care packages, personalized items, and educational materials tailored to the specific needs of patients, helping them manage their condition more effectively.

      Project Team

We are a team based in Toronto, Ontario, with allies and volunteers supporting Sjögren’s patients across Canada.
