Aouatif Zebiri
As a young community leader passionate about global development and girls' education, I have dedicated myself to advocating for marginalized communities, including women, refugees, and others facing systemic challenges. My experiences working with various human rights organizations have shaped my commitment to addressing issues of inequality and discrimination. Drawing on my background in political science and involvement with initiatives that support vulnerable populations, I am driven to create impactful programs like the She Budgets project, which aims to empower young girls by enhancing their financial literacy and equipping them with essential skills for the future.
SheBudgets: Financial Education for Girls
She Budgets is an initiative aimed at empowering young girls by providing essential financial literacy skills. Addressing the gender disparity in financial education, She Budgets focuses on reaching girls from low-income families who often lack access to vital resources. The project offers interactive workshops, long-term financial learning kits, and a digital library of resources. By equipping young girls with the tools and knowledge they need to navigate the financial world, She Budgets fosters a future generation of empowered, financially savvy women.

How the project works
She Budgets will be implemented over a three-month period, focusing on enhancing financial literacy among young girls from low-income families. The project includes conducting six interactive workshops to teach fundamental financial concepts, distributing 100 financial learning kits designed for long-term engagement, and creating a digital library with 15 accessible resources. The initiative aims to empower these girls with the skills and confidence to manage money effectively, laying the groundwork for a financially secure future.
Project Impact
Workshops: By participating in workshops, young girls will gain hands-on experience and practical knowledge in managing money. Financial Kits: The financial kits will provide girls with tools and resources they can use at home, ensuring long-term engagement and reinforcement of financial skills learned during the workshops. Digital Library: A digital library will offer ongoing access to financial education, allowing girls to explore topics at their own pace and continue learning beyond the project’s duration.
