I like looking for ways to connect with people through food. I'm passionate about mutually beneficial food justice networks.
Milton-Parc Community Cooking Series
The Milton-Parc Community Cooking Series brings people together to cook a large meal with a chef to guide them. The food is packaged and distributed throughout the neighborhood.
About this Project
Communities Served
My project will involve and/or impact the following communities:
United Nations Sustainable Development Goals
When it comes to community impact projects, the UN has created 17 Sustainable Development Goals. These are the Sustainable Development Goals associated with my project.
How the project works
Over the months of September to October, 3 cooking sessions will take place. A different chef will be recruited each time and new participants will join throughout the series. The food we cook as a team will be shared with participants and extras will be distributed to out food insecure neighbors.
Project Impact
This project aims to equip people with the skills to address their food needs, while also showing the power of coming together to support our most vulnerable neighbors.
Project Mission
The Milton-Parc Community Cooking Series fosters connection and food security by bringing neighbors together to cook with the guidance of a chef. Our mission is to build community through shared meals while reducing food insecurity. We aim to provide nutritious meals and strengthen local relationships.
Project Team
It's just me! However, I am looking to expand my team right now. If you'd like to join, let me know!
