Amy Spearman
Amy Spearman (she/elle/ella/lei) has a bachelor degree in Political Economy from the University of Manitoba, located in Treaty 1 territory, Winnipeg, Manitoba. Integral aspects of her identity include being multilingual, Franco-Métis, a member of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, a social innovator and a global citizen who has lived, studied and worked across 4 continents. As a young community leader, Amy has implemented 5 grant projects on diverse social issues such as decolonization, veterans' affairs, language insecurity, mental health and accessibility. Amy is dedicated to being an intersectional advocate who strives to learn more about various social issues affecting humanity in order to lend her voice and energy to sustainable solutions.
Coquelicots2Paix
Coquelicots2Paix aims to create beaded and crocheted poppies in partnership with Métis, indigenous and disabled artist groups to replace disposable ones. Coquelicots2Paix is founded on the objectives of creating a sustainable future, raising awareness of the lives of veterans and promoting the importance of remembrance.

How the project works
Coquelicots2Paix creates sustainable beaded and crocheted poppies in partnership with Métis, indigenous and disabled artist groups for distribution ahead of Remembrance Day on November 11.
