Intro to financial literacy
Intro to Financial Literacy is a youth-led initiative that empowers young adults especially from marginalized communities through a one-day event filled with hands-on workshops, inspiring guest speakers, a custom-designed board game, and speed-round mentorship with financial professionals. The project makes financial education engaging, practical, and culturally relevant. By equipping youth with real-world tools and guidance, Intro to Financial Literacy helps them make informed financial decisions and build a more secure future.

How the project works
The project runs as a one-day in-person event featuring interactive workshops, a financial literacy board game, guest speakers, and speed mentorship with financial professionals. It is designed to equip youth with tools and confidence to manage their finances effectively all in a single, impactful day.
Project Impact
The project empowers young adults—especially from underserved communities—with essential financial knowledge and real-world tools. Participants leave feeling more confident about budgeting, saving, and making informed financial choices. By combining education with mentorship and community, the event helps reduce financial anxiety and builds a stronger foundation for long-term economic stability.
Project Mission
The mission of the project is to make financial literacy accessible, engaging, and culturally relevant for young adults. It aims to close knowledge gaps, inspire confidence, and promote financial independence through hands-on learning, mentorship, and community support. The goal is to empower youth to take control of their financial futures.
