Amber Solomon
Kwey! My name is Amber Solomon (she/her) from Bilijk First Nation. My community has always been the driving force behind all that I do, shaping my education, informing my values, and guiding my commitment to giving back to the community.
Bilijk Arts & Craft Circle
Bilijk Arts & Craft Circle is a dedicated safe space for community members to gather, share stories, connect and learn from one another while curating their own arts and crafts. With the providing of supplies this ensures everyone is welcome and has the opportunity to learn new mediums and connecting to culture.

My project will involve and/or impact the following communities:
United Nations Sustainable Development Goals
When it comes to community impact projects, the UN has created 17 Sustainable Development Goals. These are the Sustainable Development Goals associated with my project.
How the project works
Each Wednesday the Bilijk Arts & Craft Circle will gather for craft night from 5-8PM. This will be an ongoing program starting with the purchase of supplies to help provide others the opportunity of having their own supplies for crafts!
Project Impact
By providing accessible art supplies, the program removes barriers to participation, encourages cultural connection, supports skill-building across creative mediums, and strengthens community relationships through shared artistic experiences.
Project Mission
Remove barriers for opportunity to participation and encourage cultural and community connection.
Project Team
The project is guided by myself and assisted by Shayna Boudreau who helps with the booking of the culture room and organization.
