Camp-In-A-Box Sports & Recreation

Camp-In-A-Box allows children from low-income families to have summer camp experiences from the comfort of their own home. Each box contains activities and digital resources for children to complete the activities. Each box focuses on different interests (art, science, music, and sport) to allow children the ability to extend their interests beyond school.

How the project works

Camp-in-a-Box developed four 'Summer Activities Boxes' for children with different and engaging summer camp activities that they can complete from the comfort of their own home. Each activity is low-cost, allowing families to access them for years to come. Focusing on different interests, such as art, sport, science, and music Camp-in-a-Box sparks curiosity and fun times for children.

Project Impact

This initiative distributed 150 Summer Activities Boxes to children from low-income backgrounds in London, Ontario. These boxes offered a range of engaging activities across various subjects such as history, science, and arts. These activity boxes inspired children to continue learning and offered a summer camp-like experience.

Project Mission

Camp-in-a-Box aims to enable children from low-income families to experience summer camp activities and engage in activities that broaden their interests.
