I’m Adil Mukhi; public speaker, youth advocate & changemaker! I lead initiatives that empower tens of thousands of young people, including founding Dr. Interested and contributing to the Play-to-Heal movement. I’ve supported youth-focused research and policy, including a CIHR grant with SickKids for the OPTIMAL Project and recommendations presented to the Future of Sport in Canada Commission. Dr. Interested: MedExplore
Dr. Interested’s MedExploration Event is a career exploration experience designed for high school students interested in health and wellness. The event brings together diverse professionals across healthcare fields to share their journeys, challenges, and insights. By highlighting careers beyond physicians, it broadens students’ understanding of opportunities in wellness. Scheduled for July, the initiative aims to inspire informed career exploration and empower youth to pursue meaningful pathways in healthcare.

How the project works
Dr. Interested’s MedExplore Event will take place in July as a full-day career exploration conference. Youth volunteers will coordinate logistics, outreach, and speaker engagement. Healthcare professionals from diverse fields will share their experiences through panels and interactive discussions with approximately 120 high school participants.
Project Impact
The project will directly engage 10 youth volunteers in leadership and event management while inspiring 120 participants to explore diverse careers in health and wellness. By expanding awareness beyond traditional physician roles, the event empowers students to make informed, confident decisions about their future pathways in healthcare.

Dr. Interested’s MedExplore Event aims to inspire high school students to explore diverse careers in health and wellness. By connecting youth with professionals from various healthcare fields, the project broadens understanding beyond traditional doctor roles, fosters career curiosity, and empowers participants to make informed decisions about their future pathways in medicine and wellness.
